Issued by institutions such as the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Health, these standards protect the health and well-being of consumers.

What do the NOMs for Commercial Information cover?

1. 1-Labeling: These regulations govern the content and format of labels, including ingredients, net content, and instructions for use. Example: NOM-004-SE-2021 for textile products
2. 2-Nutritional Information: They require adequate labeling for processed foods, such as NOM-051-SCFI/SSA1-2010, which includes the famous black hexagons.
3. 3-Specific Restrictions: Some standards, such as NOM-015-SCFl-2007 for toys, establish warnings if they contain small parts.
